WHAT IS The Gift of KNOWLEDGE?
The gift of knowledge is the special ability that God gives to certain members of the Body of Christ to discover, accumulate, analyze and clarify information and ideas which are pertinent to the well-being of the Body.

- Is able to speak by divine revelation the specific facts about a situation (Matthew 21:2; Mark 14:13-15; Acts 5:1-3).
- Is able to reveal to individuals or groups their specific needs (John 4:16-26; Acts 9:11-12, 17; Luke 5:2-4).
- Receives supernatural facts or information (Matthew 16:16-17; Acts 10:19).
- Is able to discern the voice of the Lord (Acts 10:17-23).
- Humility and childlikeness (Luke 10:21).
- Is able to discern what is in a man’s heart (Acts 14:9; John 2:24).
SUGGESTED POTENTIAL WEAKNESSES & WARNINGS OF THIS GIFT
- May have false impulses that are contradictory to God’s Word or revelation.
- Extreme care must be taken in the case of secrets revealed.
- Might have a tendency to use acquired knowledge through observation, conversation and reveal it as a Word of Knowledge.
- Might try to operate on one’s own experience of God and His ways rather than supernatural revelation.
- Can be a source of pride with the individual.
